Right now, the marketing world is going through a metamorphosis. Companies can no longer survive in the marketplace using approaches that were effective for a long time—new competencies are now required. For example, the ability to build a network of strategic business partners is increasingly critical. Utilizing social media and digital technologies to generate and nurture sales leads is no longer optional. Above all, specialization is key. Businesses will not be able to survive by selling one-size-fits-all solutions much longer. None of this is easy to accomplish!

Now and for the remainder of 2015, we are spearheading some new initiatives that will not only help us to position ourselves in the marketplace, but also allow the community to benefit from what we’ve learned. Here are just a few events coming up around the corner.

April 16: Triangle AMA Luncheon—“Avoiding Extinction”

On Thursday, April 16, we will be attending the Triangle AMA’s monthly luncheon. This month’s featured speaker is Chris Moody of Oracle Marketing Cloud. He will be sharing his experience about how to set yourself up for a successful career in the marketing arena. We can’t wait to hear this talk, and maybe we’ll see you there! Registration is closed.

Brier Creek Country Club
9400 Club Hill Drive
Raleigh, NC 27617

Thursday, April 16, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

April 23: Triangle Ad Federation—Clients, Creatives and Craft

Zig Zibit will be at Raleigh Brewing Company on April 23 to hear Aaron Draplin of Draplin Design Company “discuss freedom, vectors, weiner dogs and other serious s#*t.” (His words, not ours!) Tickets are on sale until April 22. Click here for details and to register.

Special Interest Group: Experiential Marketing

Last but not least, stay tuned for details about our new monthly Special Interest Group (SIG) that we will be leading in conjunction with the Triangle AMA. If you haven’t been to a SIG before, it’s a great opportunity to meet other marketing professionals and learn from each other in an informal “round table” setting. We’ll be hosting the SIG at Zig Zibit’s HQ. Details to come in the next week.

We hope to see you at one of these events soon!
