I was born in Darlington, South Carolina and moved to Greensboro, North Carolina at a very young age. I graduated from NC State with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Film Studies. Film has always been a deep passion of mine, particularly screenwriting and the special/mechanical effects. I spent my free time in college volunteering in theatres as a stage hand and shop assistant as well as a student technician at the Digital Media Lab. After graduation I promptly moved in with my wife (then girlfriend) in New York City.
I spent the past 7 years working my way through the display/production/art/props industry in New York City and came to love the small yet diverse community. I met a lot of fabricators, made lasting friendships and learned something from every one of them along the way. Those fabricators and makers in NY sculpted me into a knowledgeable producer and project manager, and my time there was invaluable.
My wife and I moved back to NC after deciding that we needed more space than Brooklyn could offer, and Raleigh always held a place in our hearts. In my free time I like to write short stories, play videogames, watch films with my wife, play with my cats and root for the Mets.
I’m excited to bring my experience to Zig Zibit and to continue to produce amazing work with this great team.
