I started in the trade show industry purely by accident, over 20 years ago, and have loved the business from the very beginning. My first tradeshow was at the McCormick Center, in Chicago, the week before Thanksgiving. Long show hours, longer meetings after the show, cold temperatures outside and even colder temperatures in McCormick Center. Open dock doors in the winter. What are they thinking? As rough as that sounds, I knew I wanted to work in the exhibit industry. It’s a hard life but it’s a great one.
As a child, my father kept me busy by teaching me how to take things apart and put them back together. My brothers and I were always making or rebuilding something. Little did I know that all the tinkering I did, as a kid, would be such a big part of my professional life. Of course I didn’t think I would ever use math skills either. Nor did I think I would have the opportunity to work in great places like Las Vegas, San Diego, Baltic, SD or Purdy, MO, to name a few.
As an account manager, I strive to help each client meet their goals and objectives. I love taking all the details and putting them into place to make you and your team look like heroes. I think the key to success in this business are the positive relationships we build with each client. At the end of the day, I want my clients to walk away knowing that I put 110% into everything I do. Most importantly, I want every client to have a pleasant experience working with me and my team and to work with us because they know we can get the job done.
