For Earth Day 2018, Zig Zibit joined 200 employees and 17 Triangle Businesses to compete in EarthShare North Carolina’s Corporate Challenge.  We joined forces volunteering with Sensus – Xylem to help #ImpactNC at Good Hope Farm in Cary, NC.

Zig Zibit volunteered and helped prep the educational garden for planting and mulched the orchard for new growth. We had a great time working together as a team to help prepare the farm for planting the next day.

Good Hope Farm is a non-profit organization that helps increase the local community’s access to farmland and helps connect its residents to local, healthy food. The Farm is owned by the Town of Cary and is the collaborative work of four non-profit organizations.

Good Hope Farm has plots up to two acres of land that they license to new and growing farmers to help get them up and running. The farm provides all necessary equipment and infrastructure to grow, clean, and pack fresh products harvested from the farm. They provide everything a beginning farmer needs to help produce products and prepare them for sale.

The farm is also used as a demonstration garden and offers agricultural and nutritional educational programming. The Town of Cary hopes to preserve the farm land that has been in production for over 100 years and the buildings on the property that date from the early 20th century.

Good Hope Farm is open to public volunteers every third Saturday of the month.

Thank you Good Hope Farm & EarthShare NC for your hospitality.
