Who I am, what I do….and why aren’t we friends yet?
I’m a native North Carolinian, born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. I was raised by two of the least creative, most analytical-minded parents out there, who decided it would be ok to let their daughter pursue a more creative and seemingly impractical career path. I developed a love for photography at a young age when my mom bought me a grey and pink polaroid camera. I knew I wanted to weave some of that creative element into my adult life, while also staying true to the structure and organizational fundamentals of marketing after I joined DECA (an international marketing association) in high school.
When I graduated from high school and had to decide what I was going to do, I chose to follow my family’s path and join the military. My dad encouraged me to pursue a combat photography and videography job so that I could keep my creative side in tact while still being able to “do the fun stuff” in the military. Fourteen years of combat camera, digital marketing and content creation, a BA in Marketing and MBA in Marketing later, I found my way to Zig Zibit. Joining this fun-loving and hard-working team was a no brainer! As the Marketing Director at Zig Zibit I am the go-to gal for strategy and execution of social, content, digital, community, events and, well, all things marketing.
My husband and I live in downtown Raleigh with our two dogs, Pablo and Emilio, and kitty, Oliver. I am a fan of traveling; in fact, I’ve been to 30 countries and 48 states in the US. My favorite things in life are animals, cappuccino’s, mashed potatoes and making friends everywhere I go.
