I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t drawing, designing, creating, building, thinking, or dreaming. When I was in 7th grade they put me in a keyboarding class, and when I got the schedule I went right to my counselor and said that I need to be in the drafting class, not keyboarding. From that point on, I never looked back. I took every opportunity that I had to learn everything that I could to get me to where I am today, with Zig Zibit.
In 1992 I graduated from high school and went to college where I studied drafting, graphic design, and industrial design at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Along the way, I have worked as a draftsman, designer, carpenter, model builder, stock boy, and saw a lot of construction sites throughout college.
In 2001 I met Jake (the creator of the Zig) at a small exhibit house outside of Boston where we became colleagues and friends. After many long talks and dreams about our future endeavors, in 2004 Jake and Donna talked me into moving to NC, where we opened the shop we have today. I feel like my entire professional life led me to that moment. Zig Zibit started with a table saw and a dream and today we are a team of talented success-driven people with the goal to exceed every expectation you have!
